September 26: Dike Day

On September 26, we’re teaming up with the municipality of Schagen to organize Dike Day, to celebrate the West Frisian Omringdijk, this unique provincial monument. By joining forces, we’ll tell the story of the West Frisian Omringdijk together. It will be a day for everyone who is passionate about the Omringdijk and enjoys sharing stories, knowledge, and craftsmanship. Various professionals will share their insights into this unique landscape from their own fields of expertise. In addition, the dike will come to life through art, culture, music, and theatre.

Who is it for?

If you’re passionate about the West Frisian Omringdijk, then this is the day for you! Through an interactive programme , we programme the past, present, and future of the dike for people of all ages.

What can you expect?

There is an extensive and interactive programme all ages that focuses on the past, present, and future of the dike. Activities include walking tours, music, theatre, graffiti workshops for children, and much more.
