September 26: Dike Day

On Saturday, September 26, we’re teaming up with the municipality of Schagen to host “Dike Day” from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to celebrate the West Frisian Omringdijk, this unique provincial monument. By joining forces, we’ll tell the story of the West Frisian Omringdijk together. It will be a day for everyone who is passionate about the Omringdijk and enjoys sharing stories, knowledge, and craftsmanship. Various professionals will share their insights into this unique landscape from their own fields of expertise. In addition, the dike will come to life through art, culture, music, and theatre.

What can you expect?

There is a comprehensive and interactive programme for all ages, focusing on the past, present, and future of the dike. This includes walking tours, music, theatre, graffiti workshops for kids, and much more.
