Discharge per axle at a sewage treatment plant

You can deliver wastewater from our management area by tanker truck to a sewage treatment plant. This wastewater must be suitable for discharge into the sewer system in terms of its composition. Examples include contaminated rainwater, the contents of septic tanks or portable toilets, or wastewater resulting from a disaster.

Terms and Conditions

The same rules apply to discharge as to discharge into the sewer system.

  • We only accept wastewater that is discharged within our management area.
  • You must submit data on the composition of the wastewater. We will assess whether the discharge can take place. If so, we will enter into an agreement with you.
  • Wastewater by truck or tanker is only accepted at the Geestmerambacht (Warmenhuizen) and Beverwijk sewage treatment plants.
  • Conditions are also imposed on the quantity and quality of the wastewater, the frequency and timing of deliveries, and on monitoring and taxation aspects.

How it works

Agreement on axle load

We will conclude an agreement with you for "transport by road." You can request this using the application form below.

Submit application

Send the completed form to HHNK, Permits Cluster, Postbus , 1700 AG Heerhugowaard.

Costs

There are no costs associated with concluding the agreement, but there are costs associated with discharging wastewater. The wastewater treatment levy regulation currently applies to this (see Downloads).

Starting in 2026, we will no longer be allowed to collect sewage treatment fees for wastewater that is not collected via municipal sewers. The Market and Government Act (Wmo) stipulates that the minimum charge for treating 'separate wastewater' must be the full cost price plus VAT.

How long does the processing take?

We will process your request within six weeks.
