Working safely
'We either work safely, or we don't.'
This is the motto of our Vision of Safety Culture. We expect all of our employees to work safely. This applies to physical safety as well as to social and information safety. We expect the same from our contractors and cooperation partners: "We work safely, or we don't!
Safety at rwzi and sludge dryer
Working at a sewage or sludge treatment plant is not without its dangers. To communicate these dangers clearly and distinctly, we made a safety film. Naturally, all our employees have watched the film. In it we explain the house rules and the safety regulations. The film is available in Dutch, English and German.
The safety film includes the following topics:
- general business rules
- arrival/parking
- sign in/out
- traffic rules and warning signs
- which water is/is not potable
- instructions from staff members
- work permit
- risks at a water treatment plant
- bacterial contamination
- the toxic hydrogen sulfide (H2S)
- explosion hazard
- working in confined spaces
- fall hazard
- unloading hazardous materials
- the environment
