About HHNK

We are a government agency with a democratically elected board and its own tax system. Our administrative organization is very similar to that of a municipality. The big difference is that we have a bounded, functional task. We work on:

  • levees: we protect residents from flooding;
  • Water: we provide sufficient and clean surface water;
  • roads: we manage and maintain rural roads.

We do so in Hollands Noorderkwartier: North Holland above the North Sea Canal.
