Car washing

Wash the car at the car wash. It's easy and you don't have to do anything yourself. Every wash releases pollutants such as shampoo, oil and rubber residues. If you wash your car at your doorstep, contaminants can enter surface water through the street drain. The water from many street wells ends up directly in a ditch through a rainwater or infiltration sewer. This is bad for groundwater quality and aquatic life in the ditch. The dirty water from a car wash is reused, filtered and eventually goes through the sewer system to the sewage treatment plant.
Cost
Depending on the car wash and the program you choose, there are costs associated with washing your car in the car wash or in a wash box.
