BlueReactor

BlueReactor systems bv receives funding from the Water Innovation Fund for the further rollout of its environmentally friendly plasma cleaning technology.

The patented technology, developed in collaboration with Eindhoven University of Technology, cleans the air without the use of filters, water, or chemicals, and with a_{CO2 footprint} that is up to 98% lower than existing systems. The environmental benefits compared to traditional treatment methods such as chemical air washing, capturing pollution in filters, and incineration are substantial. No toxic substances are released into the (water) environment, there is no chemical waste that needs to be processed, and the product is harmless to humans and the environment.

Water quality

This treatment method is important for HHNK and other water boards because the usual methods generate a waste stream that also needs to be processed and has a high_{carbon footprint}. In addition, HHNK also attaches great importance to the fact that this technology can be used in other sectors and can be one of the steps towards a green economy.

Strong market

For HHNK and the Nationaal Groenfonds, these are the reasons for helping BlueReactor take the next step in conquering the air purification market. The size of this market is approximately €3 billion annually.
