BlueReactor: air scrubber without a smell

From the Water Innovation Fund, BlueReactor systems bv receives funding to further roll out their environmentally friendly Plasma cleaning technology.

The patented technology, developed in cooperation with Eindhoven University of Technology, cleans the air without using filters, water, chemicals and with up to 98% lower_{CO2 footprint} than existing systems. The environmental benefit over traditional treatment methods the chemical washing of air, collection of pollution in filters and incineration is substantial. No toxic substances enter the (water) environment, no chemical waste to be processed and the product is harmless to humans and the environment.

Water Quality

For HHNK and other water boards, this treatment method is important because the usual methods create a waste stream that also needs to be processed and also has a high_{CO2 footprint}. In addition, HHNK also values the fact that this technology can be used in other sectors and can be one of the steps towards a green economy.

Substantial market

These are the reasons for HHNK and the National Green Fund to help BlueReactor take a step further in conquering the air purification market. The size of this market is about €3 billion annually.
