My lino consists of two different photos, the sailboat and the big boat, which were later merged. The photos were taken while walking the mud flats at Schiermonnikoog. I thought it was a very cool experience and therefore perfect to make with my linocut. While walking we picked up bags full of plastic, which would otherwise wander back over the seabed. The amount of plastic was incredible. The standout color of the lifebuoy among all the shades of blue and purple makes it easy to see how beautiful the Wadden Sea is. I think it is important that we continue to treat it well.
