No mess in the pit

Do not throw rubbish such as construction waste and other bulky waste, dog waste bags, chemicals, leaves, or other green waste into street drains. During heavy rainfall, this causes flooding on streets, in homes, and at businesses. Unblocking street drains also costs the municipality a lot of time and money. Many street drains are not connected to a sewage treatment plant, but to a rainwater or infiltration sewer that empties into a ditch. This means that dirt ends up directly in the groundwater or surface water. This leads to poor water quality, fish mortality, or foul odors. Street drains are only intended for clean (rain)water.
Flooding
During heavy rainfall, sludge in the drain caused by sewer blockages leads to flooding on streets, in homes, and at businesses.
