Municipality of Heiloo: Redevelopment of Stationsweg/Zeeweg
The municipality of Heiloo is starting work on the redesign of the Stationsweg and Zeeweg roads. Measures will be taken to reduce flooding on the Zeeweg and surrounding areas. Lowered green strips and water-storing foundations will be constructed to collect and retain rainwater. A drainage conveyance sewer will also be constructed to drain water to surface water and lower groundwater levels, reducing flooding. There will also be a water-storing roadway foundation to reduce rainwater runoff and prevent flooding on Zeeweg and Heerenweg. New landscaping and sustainable plantings will provide more sustainable water management. The project will start in mid-March 2025 and be completed by the end of 2026. The total cost of the project is € 414,487. Heiloo will be awarded € 100,000 from the KAN scheme.
