Municipality of Heiloo: Redevelopment of Stationsweg/Zeeweg
The municipality of Heiloo is set to begin work on the redevelopment of Stationsweg and Zeeweg. Measures will be taken to reduce flooding on Zeeweg and surrounding areas. Lowered green strips and water-retaining foundations will be constructed to collect and retain rainwater. A drainage transport sewer will also be constructed to drain water to surface water and lower the groundwater level, which will reduce flooding. In addition, a water-retaining roadway foundation will be installed to reduce rainwater runoff and prevent flooding on Zeeweg and Heerenweg. New green spaces and sustainable planting will ensure more sustainable water management. The project will start in mid-March 2025 and will be completed by the end of 2026. The total cost of the project is €414,487. Heiloo will receive €100,000 from the KAN scheme.
