Municipality of Hollands Kroon: Redesigning neighborhood Geerligslaan West

The municipality of Hollands Kroon is going to redesign the Geerligslaan West neighborhood. The roadway of the Dr. Olreelaan will be drained into the adjacent green strip instead of the stormwater sewer. In addition, 5,510 m² of the roadways within the project will receive a concave profile. This will allow water to be collected on the carriageway in the event of a very extreme rainfall event and discharged delayed via the RWA sewer. In this way, the water chain is relieved and the water does not flow towards the homes. The total cost of the project is € 1,065,542.94. From the KAN scheme, € 71,301,13 of these costs will be subsidized. The project will start in mid/late 2025 and be completed one year later.
