Municipality of Hollands Kroon: Redevelopment of the Geerligslaan West neighborhood

The municipality of Hollands Kroon is going to redesign the Geerligslaan West neighborhood. The roadway of Dr. Olreelaan will be drained onto the adjacent green strip instead of into the storm sewer. In addition, 5,510 m² of the roadways within the project will be given a hollow profile. This will allow water on the roadway to be collected during very extreme rainfall and drained slowly via the RWA sewer. This will relieve the water chain and prevent water from flowing towards homes. The total cost of the project is €1,065,542.94. The KAN scheme will subsidize €71,301.13 of these costs. The project will start in mid/late 2025 and will be completed a year later.
