Municipality of Medemblik: Redevelopment of Molenbuurt Sijbekarspel

In the municipality of Medemblik, a water storage package with approximately 30% hollow space will be installed under the road surface in the Molenbuurt neighborhood. A drainage transport sewer with an adjustable threshold and outflow to the Molensloot will also be installed. These measures will better protect homes against damage caused by flooding. In addition, the construction of a drainage transport sewer will relieve the mixed sewer system in the neighborhood, which will contribute to public health in the neighborhood. This project will be completed by the end of 2025. The total cost is €861,221, of which €100,000 will be allocated from the KAN scheme.
