Municipality of Uitgeest: redevelopment of De Koog Phase 2

We granted over €97,000 in subsidies to the municipality of Uitgeest for the redevelopment of De Koog Phase 2. The renewal will allow rainwater to infiltrate better into the soil.

This is one of eight projects to which HHNK has granted a subsidy from the KAN scheme. Through this Klimaat Actief Noorderkwartier subsidy regulation, municipalities can receive up to 30% subsidy of the project costs for projects that make the living environment more climate-proof. The scheme is intended to accelerate the implementation of these projects. On February 15, HHNK board member Klazien Hartog symbolically handed over this amount to Alderman Jan Schouten.

Alderman Jan Schouten is pleased with the contribution from HHNK: "Gemeente Uitgeest can get to work with the help of the KAN subsidy. The redevelopment will start at the beginning of August this year and the aim is to complete it by the end of 2025. The work around the Kooglaan in the De Koog neighborhood will consist of lowering green areas and constructing wadis (natural water storage) so that rainwater can sink into the soil." The total cost of the project is €800,000, of which HHNK is contributing €97,375 from the KAN grant.
