Enforcement request

• Have you noticed a violation that concerns the water board? Please report it to us viaReport about water.
  We will address the offender.
• Is it a matter between you and, for example, your neighbours? Try to resolve it yourselves first.
• If that doesn't work, please let us know. We will then work with you to find a solution.
• Are you unable to reach an agreement with us? Then you can submit a formal enforcement request to us.

How do you submit an enforcement request?

An enforcement request must meet a number of legal requirements. Anonymous enforcement requests are not permitted. Furthermore, enforcement requests can only be submitted by interested parties. If you are not an interested party, you can report the incident viaMelding over water (Water Report).

Please state the following as clearly as possible in the enforcement request:

• What does the violation consist of?
• A description of the location and/or a clear site plan of the location.
• If possible, photos of the violation.
• If known, who the offender is.
• Your interest in the request for enforcement.

Once we have received your request, we will send you a confirmation of receipt. We must make a decision on your request within eight weeks. This may be extended once, within a reasonable period of time. We may grant your request (in part) or reject it. You can object to this decision. We may also ask you to supplement your request. After receiving your supplement, a decision will be made within four weeks regarding the processing of your request.
