Inclusion at HHNK
At HHNK, we are committed to diversity and inclusion (D&I) because we believe it is important that everyone feels at home at HHNK and is able and allowed to participate. In addition, an inclusive organization is more creative and leads to better work results. As a social organization, we want to reflect society and contribute to a more inclusive Netherlands. By signing theSER Diversity Charter, we have laid down a number of agreements to work towards a more inclusive HHNK.
Gender Equality Plan
Every person is different. At HHNK, we develop and implement policies to reflect this. In practical terms, we have a group of 15 inclusion ambassadors who strengthen D&I within the organization wherever they can. For some examples, see our Gender Equality Plan.
Participation jobs
Employees at HHNK enjoy working for an organization with a social conscience, where there is room for everyone and consideration is given to disabilities or cultural customs. This increases engagement and reduces staff turnover. Everyone knows someone in their circle who has difficulty finding work or has a disability. Working for an organization that gives everyone a chance feels good. It also strengthens HHNK's reputation.
Not only HHNK, but the whole of the Netherlands wants people with occupational disabilities to be more likely to find a job with a 'regular' employer. That is why, in 2015, the government and social partners concluded a social agreement to create 125,000 additional jobs by 2026 and 25,000 additional jobs in the public sector. This job agreement is intended for people who are included in the target group register for job agreements. HHNK has created 34 jobs in 2024.
