Inclusion at HHNK
At HHNK we work on diversity and inclusion (D&I), because we believe it is important that everyone feels at home at HHNK and can and may participate. In addition, an inclusive organization is more creative and leads to better work results. As a social organization, we like to be a reflection of society and contribute to a more inclusive Netherlands. Thus, by signing the SER Charter Diversity we have laid down a number of agreements to work towards a more inclusive HHNK.
Gender Equality Plan
Each person is different from the other. At HHNK we develop and implement policies for this. Practically, we have a group of 15 inclusion ambassadors who reinforce D&I within the organization where they can. For some examples, see our Gender Equality Plan.
Participation Jobs
Employees within HHNK enjoy working at an organization with a social face where there is room for everyone and limitations or cultural habits are taken into account. It increases involvement and reduces turnover. Everyone knows someone around them who has difficulty finding work or has a disability. Working for an organization where everyone gets a chance feels good. In addition, it strengthens the reputation of HHNK.
Not only HHNK, but the whole of the Netherlands wants people with a labor disability to get a job with an "ordinary" employer more often. This is why the government, together with social partners, concluded the Social Agreement in 2015 to create 125,000 additional jobs by 2026 and 25,000 additional jobs in the public sector. This job agreement is intended for the people included in the target group register job agreement. For HHNK, we will have realized 34 jobs by 2024.
