Land transactions

We have traditionally owned a great deal of land for the performance of our Water Board duties. Land that we do not need for Health for flood defenses and roads, water quantity or water quality can be sold or leased. We assess whether land can be sold or leased on a case-by-case basis. This page provides more information about regulating land use.

The legal predecessors of Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier issued numerous ground lease rights in the past.
