Infiltration plates

Infiltration plates are very sturdy and flat. You can use them if you want to infiltrate water under a paved surface, such as a driveway or patio.

Infiltration plates are lightweight and can be installed horizontally under a patio or in the garden. What makes this solution unique is that plants and shrubs can absorb groundwater through the infiltration element during dry periods.

You install infiltration plates in the following situations:

  • a high groundwater level;
  • when excavators cannot be used;
  • you want to infiltrate under the terrace or a driveway.

Points of attention

  • This measure is not useful if the top layer contains a lot of clay or loam, because the water does not sink quickly into the soil.
  • For infiltration under a terrace, minimum distance to a facade with crawl space: 2 metre; minimum distance to a facade with basement: 3 metre.
