Youth driver

We believe it is important for young people to contribute their ideas on issues such as water safety, flooding, and water shortages. Clean water, dry feet, and strong flood defenses cannot be taken for granted in our country, which lies largely below sea level. The future generation will also come up with smart solutions for these issues. 

Darian Tetterode Ravestein

Since January 1, 2022, 16-year-old Darian Tetterode Ravestein from Castricum has been our youth director.

"During my time as youth director, I want to involve high school students in the important work that the water board does. I do this by giving presentations, sharing activities on social media, organizing a panel I created myself, and in many other ways. I hope to put our water board even more on the map in the next two years."
