This photo was taken on the Obdammerdijk. I specifically chose this area because the difference in height here is strikingly visible, creating a nice contrast in the landscape. In addition, the different layers in the landscape, such as the dike, the fields and the horizon, create a nice variation in heights. Furthermore, windmills can also be seen, this gives the image a focal point. The whole image exudes tranquility, while at the same time it tells a story about the Dutch struggle against water and the pursuit of sustainable energy.
