This photo was taken on the Obdammerdijk. I specifically chose this location because the difference in elevation is particularly noticeable here, creating a beautiful contrast in the landscape. In addition, the different layers in the landscape, such as the dike, the fields, and the horizon, create a beautiful variation in heights. Windmills can also be seen, giving the image a focal point. The whole scene exudes tranquility, while at the same time telling a story about the Dutch struggle against water and the pursuit of sustainable energy.
