NGCM ( ) is receiving funding from the Water Innovation Fund for the further rollout of its environmentally friendly and circular coating for concrete structures called Delft Green Curing.

Environmental benefits

NGCM holds the global license for the sale of a special after-treatment that protects concrete from drying out using natural products such as water, alginate, and bentonite. The environmental benefits compared to traditional treatment methods—chemical after-treatment and temporary covering with plastic—are enormous. No toxic substances are released into the (water) environment, there is no plastic waste, and the product is harmless to humans and the environment. In addition, the durability of the concrete increases by more than 50%. The product was developed at Delft University of Technology and is marketed under the name Delft Green Curing.

Water quality

This treatment method is important to HHNK because the chemicals used often end up in surface water and are harmful to water quality. In addition, HHNK itself also needs a lot of concrete for viaducts, flood defenses, and the like. All the more reason for HHNK and the National Green Fund to help Delft Green take the next step in conquering the concrete market. The size of this market is approximately 18 million of concrete per year.
