Water Program
For the Water Task Program, this is the first time that the Water Systems Department has worked with a framework contract for Engineering Services where we solicit products.
Exciting, but also a challenge to make something beautiful together.
All three agencies have now been given initial orders for the "Prescan environment" product by Britt, Bob and Ron for about eight projects.
For the Water Challenge program, the projects are now:
- Beverwijk Water System Improvement;
- Inner Dune Edge Project Sandy;
- Inner dune edge project: clean water supply Bakkum;
- Inner dune edge: Flow chart artworks;
- De Drieban water system improvement (phase 2);
- Improve outflow at pumping station 't Wad;
- Egmond aan den Hoef drainage improvement;
- Improvement/optimization of water storage Blokdijk.
Our experience so far with these first assignments is that it takes some getting used to and exploring what we can and should expect from each other. How do we deal with the product sheet of lot 3, how do we assess the number of point locations, how do we communicate and consult with each other and what quality can we expect from each other. All of this means that it will take some time to find an equal image of expectations.
Furthermore, I think that at the moment, on the client's side, we can be satisfied with the first (draft) results and I notice that standardization is also being worked on which will ultimately further benefit both on the client's side and on the contractor's side.
All in all, we have now "gone off shore," the first products are being delivered and I foresee a great collaboration with the agencies for the coming years.
