Restoration of the Baadland Quay Wall
What's going to happen?
The retaining wall at Baadland is being restored (red line in the image below).
The work consists primarily of replacing the mortar joints, re-masoning loose stones, replacing the concrete coping stones, and restoring the natural stone. Much of the work will be carried out from the water. The concrete coping stones will be replaced from the land side.
When will the project take place and how long will it last?
The project will be carried out during the periods from October 2026 through April 2027 and from October 2027 through April 2028.
Who do we work with?
The work is being carried out by De Boer & de Groot Civiele Werken B.V.
What does this mean for you?
The walking path along the retaining wall at Baadland will be closed at times. The walking path on the north side, along the boats, will remain open. The Binnenhaven will therefore remain accessible, but you will no longer be able to walk all the way around it.
Noise Pollution
Although measures are being taken to minimize noise pollution, there may be times when noise levels in the area are temporarily higher than usual. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
