Odor nuisance Overdorpstraat De Goorn

Residents on the Overdorpstraat in De Goorn smelled a strange odor/stench last night. The fire department investigated the source and arrived at our sewer pumping station. They also found a smelly oily substance at this location. We shut down the sewer pumping station last night. Around 2 p.m., the sewer pumping station was drained by the Rions company in cooperation with the Teeuwissen company. Samples of the substance were also taken for further analysis. The sewer pumping station had sufficient buffer capacity to be put out of operation for several hours. This prevented the substance from spreading further in the sewer system.
