My dike of the future consists of a design for a dike that can accommodate shops, like a kind of boulevard. The inspiration for this came from an excursion to the beach dike in Hoorn. The shops are partly located inside the dike as reinforcement, to save space and make them less visible. People can still walk on top of the dike, and when you look at the dike from the 'residential side', it looks quite normal.
