Moist wipes

Moist (toilet) wipes and sanitary napkins, as well as mouth guards and other protective equipment such as plastic gloves, cause sewer blockages at home, the municipality and the water treatment plant.
During heavy rainfall, sewage flows into ditches due to blockages. This is bad for people and nature; it causes odor and fish death. In addition, sewer blockages and pump jams lead to additional maintenance costs. Do not flush trash down the toilet; instead, place a residual waste receptacle on the toilet and throw them in there. Use the toilet only for toilet paper and feces.

Flooding
Flushing wet wipes down the toilet can clog the sewer. The sewer cannot handle the (rain) water during heavy rainfall due to the blockages. This leads to flooding.
