Wilbert and Alen: Clean Green Kayak Machine

"Like all great things, we started small. We are two friends with ideas and took off. That led to something beautiful! We have since gathered around us more and more volunteers and businesses who are working with us for a cleaner future."

Our motivation

There is too much plastic floating in our aquatic environment. This is not only unsightly, it is bad for fish, birds and ultimately; the entire food chain. "We remove this plastic from the ditch and make sure it is disposed of neatly. In doing so, we contribute to clean water. A better environment, starts with yourself."

Prevention and hands-on approach

"Together with individuals and company employees, we take to the water in our kayaks to experience how much plastic and other waste is floating around. Together we remove hundreds of pounds of waste from ditches and along the way inform participants about what they can do to do their part to contribute to a cleaner future. In the future, we would like to focus even more on prevention by having schools actively participate in our expeditions. Through guest lectures and experiential participation, we are going to inspire the next generation!"
