Self-scans and control of manure storage and composting

To prevent pesticides and fertilizers from leaking, there are guidelines for the storage of agricultural inputs such as manure and for composting. Together with municipalities, the Regional Executive Service Noord-Holland Noord (RUD NHN), the environmental police, the Agriculture and Horticulture Organization (LTO) and the Royal General Association for the Cultivation of Flower Bulbs (KAVB), we have developed self-scans for agricultural entrepreneurs so that they can check for themselves whether the storage of agricultural substances or composting is going well. They also receive practical tips to improve their storage. In the municipalities of Den Helder, Schagen and Hollands Kroon, we are checking storage in the coming period together with RUD NHN and the environmental police.
