Amber Batema
My work shows a female flat-bellied dragonfly ('Libellula depressa'). While visiting and photographing banks, I was inspired by the amount of small animals that live around and in the water, especially the waterfront insects. These are overlooked because they are so small among all the water birds, fish and plants. With this work I highlight the small flat-bellied dragonfly because this dragonfly is a very beautiful sight along the shoreline.
