Dredging Molensloot Andijk

What will happen?

From October 2024, contractor J.P. Schilder of Ursem will start dredging the Molensloot in Andijk. The work will take place on behalf of the high water board.

Where does the project take place?

The work will take place in the Molensloot in Andijk, from the Grootslagweg to pumping station Grootslag on the Dijkweg.

A total of approximately 55,000m3 of dredging sludge will be removed from the Molensloot. Most of the dredged sludge will be stored in a meadow depot near the Gedeputeerde Laanweg and Driehuizen. Upon completion of the dredging work, the plot with the meadow depot will be restored to its former state.

Dredging will be done in 1 phase. Starting in September, work will begin on the meadow depot by making quays about 1.5 meters high. The dredging work should be completed by the end of December 2024.

The dredged material is transported by means of a dredge dredger, via a pressure pipeline, and disposed of in the pasture depot.

When will the project take place and how long will it take?

Work will start from September 2024 and be completed by the end of December 2024.

Who do we work with?

Daily supervision of the work will be provided by Mr. Remco ter Horst of Ingenieursbureau Niebeek.
