Building survey homes
The houses in Durgerdam are on the dike and are therefore part of the water barrier. For the district water board it is important to have correct data of all houses. A lot of information has already been collected in recent years, including through archive and building research. Nevertheless, the data of all houses are not yet complete, especially when it comes to the presence of cellars. The district water board has asked Van Monsjou & Partners (in cooperation with the Alliance Markermeer Dikes) to conduct this research.
How does this research take place?
The survey consists of a visual survey of the lot and home and an interview with the owner/occupant. The interview will gather additional information about the home's foundation, whether a basement is present, and whether you are experiencing groundwater problems. Data may also be measured by a surveyor. The results of the survey will be incorporated into the calculations for the stability of the dike.
What do we ask of residents of Durgerdam?
If we are missing data from your property, we will send you a letter in the mail. In this letter, we ask if we can do a building survey on your plot and at your home. This will happen in October and November. There are also residents who do not receive a letter: this means that we do not (now) need data from your plot or your home.
