The painting shows two merged photographs. These include typical Dutch sheep clouds that could be seen at the Afsluitdijk, combined with another photograph of a Dutch landscape that unfortunately had some less impressive clouds. The clouds are reflected in the river at the bottom of the painting and stand out clearly because of the high contrast in the clouds. Furthermore, the shrubs and trees on the sides and the river create diagonal lines running toward the center, bringing the view to the sky. Like the clouds, these bushes and trees can also be seen as reflections in the water.
