The painting shows two merged photographs. It combines typical Dutch sheep clouds that could be seen at the Afsluitdijk with another photograph of a Dutch landscape that unfortunately had less impressive clouds. The clouds are reflected in the river at the bottom of the painting and stand out clearly due to the high contrast in the clouds. Furthermore, the bushes and trees on the sides and the river create diagonal lines that run towards the center, drawing the eye to the sky. Like the clouds, these bushes and trees are also reflected in the water.
