Dilemma box

The Dilemma Box is aimed at students at Technasia, HAVO or VWO schools who are studying science subjects and the subject Research and Design. The Dilemma Box is not a physical box, but a facilitating online tool, combined with physical and online meetings with experts from the Water Board and Delft University of Technology.

The Dilemma Box provides students with online support, for example through videos and all the information they need to solve a 'smelly case'. The Dilemma Box contains the R&D assignment, fully processed in accordance with the guidelines, enabling teachers and students to carry out the project step by step. 

Understanding, defining, exploring, conceptualizing, presenting... In short, Design Thinking.

A stinking case is a water-related issue from the water board for which no solution has yet been found. These include issues in the field of water safety, flooding, drought, water quality, but also water and climate change or water and nature are possible themes for which the water board calls on these students for 'help'. The projects will be assessed by the experts during the final presentations.
Available cases in which the students can participate are:

• Separate toilet for poop and pee (grades 1 and 2)
• Medicine-separating toilet (grades 2 and 3)
• Sandbags in front of the door (grades 1, 2, and 3)
• Innovation in sewage treatment (classes 1, 2, and 3)
