The windmill I depicted in my linocut is 'Molen D' and stands on the edge of the Oosterdel. When we were given this assignment, this image immediately came to mind, because I cycle past the Oosterdel every day on my way to school. In my opinion, the windmill on the dike shows a beautiful piece of North Holland polder history. Langedijk used to consist of many small islands, and the area I have depicted clearly shows this old Langedijk.
