Soil Investigation of the Monnickendam Seawall

What's going to happen?

On Wednesday, November 4, and Thursday, November 5, Deltares will conduct a ground survey on the Monnickendammer seawall on behalf of the Hollands Noorderkwartier Water Board. Deltares will use ground-penetrating radar to map the old repair section from the 1916 storm over a length of 200 metre . To carry out this ground survey, traffic measures will be implemented along the bike path on the crest of the seawall. The bike path will be closed during the work.

Where is the research being conducted?

The study is being conducted at the Monnickendammer seawall. See the red box in the image below for the exact location.
