Waterland

The embankment along Oudelandsdijkje and Molenpad is not strong enough and therefore needs to be improved. The bike path will also be widened.

We are replacing the pressure pipe from the Volendam sewage pumping station to the wastewater treatment plant. The pressure pipe will be rerouted, as much as possible on municipal land.

The Broekermeerdijk and Kanaaldijk embankments from the N235 viaduct will be reinforced. Work is scheduled to start in the fall of 2026.

This section of the dike south of Monnickendam has been rejected and must be reinforced. We are currently determining the scope of the reinforcement work.

The Markermeerdijken Alliance is reinforcing two of the five dike sections around the Katwoude Polder, while HHNK is reinforcing the other three.

To protect the water-retaining function of the Markermeer and IJsselmeer dikes, we burn away vegetation on the stone revetments.

We are reinforcing more than 33 kilometre between Hoorn and Durgerdam.
