Soil investigation at five locations in Durgerdam
In October, soil investigations will be carried out at various locations in Durgerdam. This involves soil drilling at five different locations. These drillings will be done by hand and carried out by Wiertsema & Partners. The locations for the hand drillings have been chosen so that no traffic measures are necessary.
In manual drilling, soil is drilled up by hand. This soil is placed to the side of the borehole. The drilling supervisor notes which soil types are encountered. The borehole is then closed with clay rods and the ground level is restored. The results of the drilling are used to calculate how erosion-resistant the dike is.
What do we ask of residents?
Do you live in Durgerdam? The soil investigation may take place on your plot or on the plot that you lease, rent, or use from the water board. We may also need to access the investigation site via your land. If we want to drill on your plot, you will receive a letter by mail. In this letter, we will ask authorisation enter your plot. We will then call you a few days in advance to authorisation (again) and to check whether there are any issues we need to take into account. The work is scheduled for mid-October.
