I chose this etching because it has a strong light-dark contrast. You can see the light-dark contrast in the sky and the black blades of grass. The clouds give the etching a dynamic look, as if the wind is blowing through and past the windmill. I wanted the etching to have a stormy look. The windmill is not exactly in the center, which also contributes to the dynamic look. I chose this side of the windmill because I think the bridge is a beautiful and important part of the whole. Overall, I am satisfied with the result and enjoyed the assignment.
