On the road to climate neutrality
The world faces the challenge of combating climate change. As a water authority, we are already experiencing the effects of climate change, such as longer periods of drought, more intense rainfall, and rising sea levels.
HHNK therefore wants to contribute to reducing climate change by working in a sustainable manner. Not only to set a good example, but also to reduce our impact on the climate.
Climate transition plan
We are taking measures across three themes. To reduce our impact on the environment, we will gradually reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, balance energy generation and consumption, and build more sustainably. In other words: emission-neutral, energy-neutral, and circular! Our ambitions are set out in the Climate Neutral 2035 (K35) plan. Here you can read more about how HHNK aims to be emission-neutral and energy-neutral by 2035 and fully circular by 2050.
