Labor on the dike
We were commissioned to create a work that represented the Dutch water board. I thought for a long time about the work I would make. Finally, I came across a photograph from the past at my grandfather's house. In this photo, you can see people with shovels, wheelbarrows and sandbags. I based my work on that. Hence the title 'Labor on the dike'.
