We were given the assignment to create a work that represented the Dutch water board. I thought long and hard about the work I would make. Eventually, I came across an old photo at my grandfather's house. In this photo, you can see people with shovels, wheelbarrows, and sandbags. I based my work on this photo. Hence the titlelabour the dike'.
