Overpaid

It may happen that you have overpaid. We will refund the overpayment. 

Here's how it works

Check your bank statements and your assessment notice and see if we have already refunded the overpayment to your account.

Is this not the case? If so, please contact us by calling 072 - 582 8600. Health that you always have the following information to hand:

  • How much you have transferred;
  • From which account number;
  • On what date;
  • stating which payment reference.

We can then easily retrieve your payments.

I have become a single resident. Should I apply for reduction of assessment?

No, this is not necessary. If the Basic Registration of Personal DataBRP) shows that you have come to live alone, we will reduce the sewage treatment levy or pollution levy living space. You will receive a letter about this. We do not reduce the water system levy and the road levy. This is determined by law.

I quit my business. Will I get a reduction in the assessment?

Attack 1 ve

With a water consumption of less than 44 m³, you have received an assessment of 1 pollution unit (ve). This is the minimum assessment for a business premises regardless of the duration of use. You are not eligible for a reduction.

Attack 3 ve

If upon termination your water consumption according to the final bill from the drinking water company is less than 44 m³ then you can request a reduction of the assessment. You must submit an objection digitally or in writing. Enclose a copy of the final bill!

Attack more than 3 ve

If your water consumption exceeds 217 m³, you have received a preliminary or final assessment of 5 ve or more. If you have discontinued use, you can request a reduction based on the final bill from the drinking water company. You must object digitally or in writing to do so. Enclose a copy of the final bill!

What happens to the assessment after death?

We reduce the treatment levy or the pollution levy. You will receive a letter about this;
