In the innovative water awareness program Waterwijs, young people learn about the consequences of flooding and water scarcity and the trade-offs that have to be made. They do this by putting themselves in the shoes of a homeowner, a nature conservationist, and a farmer. By completing assignments at various locations in the Zuiderzee Museum, students are encouraged to think actively and engage in discussion with each other. They also receive tips on how to use water more efficiently themselves.
