For inspection purposes, we are having aerial photographs taken by drone of the IJssel and Markermeer dikes between Medemblik, Enkhuizen, and Hoorn.

We are making adjustments to a number of water storage facilities to improve the water supply to these areas and increase their storage capacity.

To protect the water-retaining function of the Markermeer and IJsselmeer dikes, we burn away vegetation on the stone revetments.
