I chose to depict the Oudelandsdijkje, with its beautiful view of the ring canal. This work shows the impressive difference in height between the water in the ring canal and that in the adjacent ditch. The water in the ring canal is relatively much higher, which offers a fascinating contrast. In addition, the vast expanse of the characteristic North Holland polder landscape is also clearly visible.
