The Berichtenbox Zakelijk allows you as an entrepreneur to exchange digital messages with Dutch government organizations, including HHNK. The message box works in much the same way as e-mail, but is more reliable thanks to the secure connection. And you can be sure that your messages arrive at the correct address.

If you have a business in the Netherlands, first create a Berichtenbox with an eHerkenningingsmiddel. For businesses abroad, you must create a user account for 'Answer for Business'. Then add your Berichtenbox(address) to your registration in the Trade Register.

From then on, you can be reached by the government and exchange messages with the government. You will receive messages that would otherwise go through the mail.

The Berichtenbox Zakelijk is intended for:

  • entrepreneurs in the Netherlands
  • entrepreneurs who have a business in the European Economic Area (EEA) and wish to offer their services in the Netherlands

The message box and your privacy

When you create a Message Box, you enter your personal data. These fall under the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG). They are not passed on to other organizations or individuals. Read more about the Berichtenbox and your privacy. Deploying the Berichtenbox gives government organizations a concrete opportunity to fulfill the ambition of doing more business electronically.

Requirements for the Berichtenbox Zakelijk

  • You must have created an account Berichtenbox Zakelijk;
  • registration with the Trade Register. By doing so, you indicate that you are digitally accessible to the government. Before government organizations send digital messages to the entrepreneur, these organizations check in the Commercial Register (HR) whether this is permitted. The HR data service is used for this purpose, which provides an extract from the Trade Register (including data on digital accessibility) for each Chamber of Commerce number provided.
