Contract amendment separate wastewater streams

Due to a national adjustment in the tax system of the water boards, the purification task and basis of the purification levy will change as of January 1, 2026 for "separate wastewater streams. From this date, the Water Board will no longer have a statutory purification task for wastewater not collected via a municipal sewer.

Specifically, according to the current ordinance, treatment charges may no longer be collected. The Market and Government Act (Wmo) stipulates that at least the integral cost price plus VAT for treating the "separate wastewater" must be charged.

On Tuesday, October 9 and Tuesday, October 16, the Water Board is hosting an information meeting between noon and 1 p.m. to inform affected businesses about the implications of the law change. During the online meeting there will be ample opportunity to ask questions. The meeting is only for companies that have received a letter or e-mail.
