The Hollands Noorderkwartier Water Board intends to lease the plot of land described below. This publication has been made on overheid.nl and on hhnk.nl.

General

The regional flood control area, which is used for pasture farming, is being offered for lease near Purmerdijk, across from Monnickendammerjaagweg in Purmer, Edam-Volendam. (Access to the parcels is via parcel EDM00E446 to the north.)

Use and special features

The flood barrier has a hydraulic engineering function and can be used for pasture cultivation and/or for grass and hay production.

Type and term of lease

The water board is offering a deregulated lease agreement for a term of 6 years, covering the period from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2032.

Lease price

The lease price is not included in the selection criteria. The lease price has been set at €225 per hectare (
). The total annual lease price is therefore €730.80

Criteria

  1. The tenant runs an agricultural business. The tenant must demonstrate this by enrolment the Chamber of Commerce under the SBI code for agriculture. The Chamber of Commerce number provided will be checked. In case of doubt, the enrolment will be enrolment the selection.
  2. The leased plot is located within a radius of 10 kilometre the tenant's business. When calculating the distance, the center of the leased plot is taken in relation to the center of the address at which the agricultural business is enrolled the Chamber of Commerce.
  3. The leased property must be operated by the lessee himself.
  4. The tenant must be able to comply with the lease conditions as set out in the lease agreement.
  5. The lessee must comply with the other conditions set out in the Real Estate Policy and the Implementation Rules relating to this subject.

enrolment

  • Interested parties who meet the specified criteria may enrol May 24, 2026.
  • enrolment by filling out the registration form using E-herkenning (see the registration button on the previous page).
  • Entries received after 11:59 p.m. on May 24, 2026, will not be considered.
  • If multiple bids can be selected, the contract will be awarded by lottery. For this purpose, the water board refers to theImplementation Rules for Real Estate Policy.
  • The draw will take place within two weeks of the closing date. The draw will be conducted by Land Affairs in the presence of three persons.
  • A report will be drawn up of the award. Each tenderer will be informed of the outcome.

Disclaimer

The water board reserves the right not to award the plot and to take on maintenance itself (after all).

Other information

The tenant farmer is responsible for submitting the declaration to the RVO. The water board accepts no responsibility or liability in connection with this declaration, the conditions set by the RVO, or the obligations that the tenant farmer enters into with the RVO. The water board is also not liable if the description or use of the leased land does not meet the requirements set by the RVO and for any reductions or penalties imposed on the tenant as a result.
