Water safety

Ready for water together
Rain, wind, storms; autumn is a beautiful season. But it can also lead to water damage or, in the worst case, even flooding. That is why we reinforce, maintain, and inspect our dikes and dunes. And with our annual inspection, we ensure that excess water can be drained away as effectively as possible. You can also do something yourself. Make sure your ditch and gutter are clean, and be prepared for unexpected situations. More tips?
What do we all do?
Even in this season, with frequent rain and storms, we are working hard to limit water damage and flooding. We reinforce, maintain, and inspect our dikes and dunes. With our annual inspection, we ensure that the ditches are clean and that water flows and drains properly. We construct water storage facilities to collect excess rainwater. We also give residents tips on what they can do themselves to prevent flooding.
What can you do yourself?
You can also do something yourself to prevent flooding or be prepared for it. See the tips below.
There is much more you can do yourself to prevent flooding! Curious? Take a look at the page What can you do yourself to prevent flooding?
