Surface water, storage areas, and engineering structures
We ensure that there is sufficient clean water in the ditches and lakes. To achieve this goal, we set requirements for the maintenance of the waterways and the surrounding areas. It is important that the waterways remain in place, are the correct size, and are maintained.
What is the Water Register?
The Legger Wateren consists of an online map and rules (a descriptive section). The map describes the minimum dimensions that must be maintained for each surface water body, storage area, and supporting structures, as well as who is responsible for this. Click on symbols and lines in the ditch to view all data. The descriptive section describes what is expected in terms of maintenance. It also includes an explanation.
Water Management Plan HHNK (version 2025)
The Water Management Plan HHNK (version 2025) has been in force since December 24, 2025.
Watering Register 2024
The Water Management Plan 2024 was in effect from October 30, 2024, through December 23, 2025.
When will you have to deal with the register?
If you are designated in the register as responsible for the maintenance of a surface water body, storage area, or engineering structure, you may receive a letter during the annual inspection because the maintenance has not been carried out.
And if you plan to carry out work in or along a surface water body, storage area, or engineering structure, you will need a water permit from us.
