Usage and details
The dam has a hydraulic function and can be used for pasture farming and/or for grass and hay production.
The plot belongs to an ecological connecting zone. In addition to the lease agreement the "Additional Management Agreement for the promotion of biodiversity flood defenses" will be concluded in which both the general management agreements and the tailor-made management agreements will be laid down. An overview of the general management agreements can be found in the document "example general management agreements for the promotion of biodiversity flood defenses". The customized agreements will be shared after the contract is awarded.
Leasehold form and period
The Water Board is offering a deregulated lease for six years, for the period January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2031.

Leasehold
The lease price is not part of the selection criteria. The lease price is set at € 250 per hectare. The total lease price per year is thus € 127,50.
Criteria
- The tenant is running an agricultural business. The tenant must prove this with the registration in the Chamber of Commerce with the SBI code Agriculture. The specified Chamber of Commerce number is checked. In case of doubt, the registration will be excluded from the selection.
- The leasehold plot is within 10 kilometers of the tenant's farm. In calculating the distance, the center point of the leasehold plot is held in relation to the center point of the address at which the agricultural enterprise is registered with the Chamber of Commerce.
- The lease plot must be operated by the tenant himself.
- The lessee must be able to meet the lease terms as stated in the lease agreement.
- The lessee must meet the other Requirements as stated in the Real Estate Policy and its Implementation Rules regarding this subject.

- Since it is a plot with an area of up to 1 hectare, the plot can also be given to hobby farmer in use (no lease). They can also register. However, commercial farmers have priority in the selection process and the hobby farmer must live within a radius of 5 kilometers from the published plot. In the case of hobby use, a rental agreement will be concluded with the user for a maximum of three years (January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2028).
Reservation
The State Water Board reserves the right to ultimately not award the parcel and (still) maintain it itself.
Other information
The lessee should bear Health itself for the declaration to the RFO. The Regional Water Board does not accept any responsibility or liability in connection with this declaration, and for the Requirements set by RFO or the obligations that the lessee enters into with RFO. The Regional Water Board is also not liable should the description or use of the leasehold parcel not meet the requirements set by RFO and for any reductions or penalties imposed on the lessee as a result.
