If your plot borders a ditch, you have a duty to maintain it. This means that you must keep the ditch at the specified width and depth. During the autumn inspection, the dredging inspection, the bottleneck inspection and the water storage capacity inspection, we check whether you have carried out the ditch maintenance properly. Below you will find information about ditch maintenance and the four forms of inspection.

    At the dredge inspection, we check in part of our area whether the ditches are deep enough. 

  • Bottleneck survey

    In summer, we check ditches that may be a bottleneck for water supply and drainage.

  • Review for water storage capacity

    Every year we check in part of our area whether the ditches are still the right size to provide adequate water storage.
