Den Helder

In Den Helder, solar parks are being constructed at three locations. On the Oostoever site, on the rwzi site and along the Balgzand Canal (Spuikanaal).

We are monitoring beach and dune dynamics. This paves the way for the implementation of Nature-based Solutions in the North Sea region.

At Helsdeur Pumping Station, we are investigating how plastic is spread through the water system and how to prevent this plastic pollution.

At the Helderse Zeewering, the asphalt on the outside of the dike no longer meets the standard.

Part of the Harbour Dike does not meet the latest water safety requirements. In the reconnaissance phase, we are investigating possible solution options.

With this project we are improving fish migration and fish diversity between the Wadden Sea, the hinterland and the IJsselmeer.

There are moles in some places in our dikes. We have these trapped by a professional mole catcher for water safety reasons.

The dikes between Den Oever and Den Helder do not meet the standard in several places.
